About the artist:

Shane Townley is a contemporary environmental artist based in Joshua Tree, California. His abstract paintings explore climate change, environmental memory, and the relationship between people and the natural world. Founder of Alien Robot Museum, LagunaART.com and NewYorkART.com, Townley also supports fellow artists and access to art supplies for schools and hospitals.

His November 2026 exhibition, ERODE, brings together textured mixed-media works on wood panels that evoke weathered landscapes and surfaces transformed by time in the desert. Through layers, fractures, and worn textures, the series reflects on the fragility of our environment and the beauty that emerges through change.
